About

Garance Louis Actor-MUSICIAN-Composer

Garance is a French multi-disciplinary performer whose work weaves together theatre, music, immersive storytelling, and film. Known for her vibrant presence, versatility, and emotional depth, she brings characters to life through both acting and live music.

She most recently stars as Ellis in The Magician’s Table (2024–2025), an immersive magic show where she blends performance with live accordion as host and musical guide. Her theatre credits include Henry VIII at Shakespeare’s Globe (2022), where she performed as an onstage pianist and accordionist.

A long-standing figure on London’s immersive and alternative scene, Garance has performed with the celebrated Giffords Circus and brought her unique French musical flair to venues like Fool Moons (Soho Theatre) and Black Cat Cabaret. On screen, she appeared in Tomorrow, produced by Martin Scorsese.

Musically, Garance is the frontwoman and creative force behind CHEWY SHE (2018–2025), where she writes, composes, and produces genre-bending “moth popera” rich in visual storytelling. Her earlier projects — Garance and the Mitochondries and Mlle Loulou Orchestra — highlight her deep love for chanson, jazz, and experimental songwriting.

She has composed and performed for BBC Radio 2 and 6Music, and collaborated with artists including Roisin Murphy, Brooke Sharkey, HK119, and Ralfe Band.

As a visual storyteller, Garance writes, scripts, directs, and edits music videos and short films accompanying her music. Her work is surreal, emotionally raw, and deeply personal.
